Anonymous Post
also: anon post, author-hidden post
Anonymous Posts let you publish content under your account without showing your name as the byline. Readers see "Anonymous" or a generic placeholder; the post is still associated with your account internally for moderation and abuse purposes.
Useful for: sensitive opinions you don't want tied to your professional identity, sourced industry gossip where naming the source would burn it, whistleblowing-grade observations, or simply posts you want judged on content alone rather than reputation. Free tier shows your name on every post; Premium gives you the choice per-post.
Not truly anonymous in the cryptographic sense — Wall, Telegram, and lawful authorities can in principle identify the author (auth is HMAC-SHA256-signed Telegram init_data). The anonymity is social-layer: other users cannot see who posted. For genuine anonymity-preserving publishing, use a Tor-routed dedicated Telegram account, then post as anonymous; even that has limits.
Where Anonymous Post appears on Wall
- Composer "Post anonymously" toggle (Premium / Ultra only)
- Post byline shows "Anonymous" instead of name
- Anonymous polls (Premium / Ultra) — same mechanism

Common questions
Can Wall doxx me from an anonymous post?
Wall internally knows the post belongs to your account — the anonymity is social-layer only. Wall would not voluntarily disclose authorship to other users, but it would respond to lawful requests (subpoena, court order). For threat-model-grade anonymity, Wall is not the right tool; use Tor + dedicated identity layered carefully.
Can I edit an anonymous post to add my name later?
No — once posted anonymous, the byline stays anonymous. To "out" yourself you'd delete and re-post. Internal-record-keeping requires the original post stays as anonymous.
Are anonymous posts moderated differently?
No — they go through the same moderation pipeline. The anti-abuse signals still tie back to your account; repeated rule-breaking via anonymous posts gets the underlying account banned same as named posts.
