How the math works
Stars-rail flows (gifts, paid-post unlocks, referral commission) pass through Telegram and Wall. Telegram takes ~30% as the platform fee for the Stars rail itself. Of the net, Wall takes 20% as the rail-operator fee. The referrer (if any) earns a tier-dependent commission from Wall's share — T1 10% / T2 15% / T3 20% / T4 25% / T5 30%. Creator receives: gross × 0.7 × 0.8 × (1 − referrer_pct). Without a referrer, creator receives 56% of Stars-rail gross.
TON-rail flows (TON tips, TON post donations) are wallet-to-wallet via TON Connect. Wall is non-custodial; we never hold the funds. Wall fee: 0%. Recipient receives the full nominal amount minus their own receive-side TON gas (~0.005 TON per transaction).
Referral commission is computed on the referred users' Stars-rail spending. The math: referredGross × 0.7 × 0.2 × tier_pct. T1 starter (10%) is automatic at 1+ referral; T2-T3 unlock at usage thresholds; T4-T5 require manual review (apply via wall.support/contact with [business] prefix).
Comparison snapshots
Default values in the calculator approximate a moderately-active creator. Two reference points:
- Casual creator: 5 TON tips × 0.5 TON, 10 gifts × 25★, 0 paid posts. ≈ $24/mo (most via TON tips at 0% fee).
- Active creator (the default): 10 TON tips × 0.5 TON, 5 TON donations × 1 TON, 20 gifts × 25★, 0 paid posts. ≈ $60/mo.
- Power creator with paid posts: 30 TON tips × 1 TON, 10 TON donations × 2 TON, 50 gifts × 50★, 20 paid posts × 100★. ≈ $300+/mo.
- Top referrer (T3) with active referred audience: same active-creator setup + 50,000★ referred-user gross at T3 (20%). The T3 referral commission alone ≈ $25/mo on top.
These are illustrative — concrete take-home depends on your audience size, posting cadence, niche, and the proportion of TON-vs-Stars-rail support you receive. The calculator above lets you input your actual numbers.
Common questions
Are these numbers accurate?
The math is exact — visible in the "Show the math" section under the result panel. The USD conversion is approximate (Telegram-set Stars retail rate ~$0.018/Star is region-dependent; TON spot price moves). Real take-home will vary slightly with both. The structural numbers (Telegram 30%, Wall 20%, tier %) are the documented contract.
Why is the TON tip cut 0% but gifts cost 50%+?
Different rails. TON tips and donations are wallet-to-wallet via TON Connect — Wall is never in the funds path, so we cannot deduct anything. Stars-rail flows through Telegram (~30% Telegram fee) and Wall (20% rail fee) with a tier-dependent referrer payout from Wall's share. Two different mechanics.
Can I really earn this much on Free tier?
TON tips, TON donations, gifts, and referral commissions all work on Free. The only stream gated to Premium is paid-post creation (you publish a paywalled post). Reading and unlocking paid posts is free for anyone. So the calculator's Free-tier earnings = total minus the paid-post line.
When can I cash out?
Stars-rail earnings (gifts, paid posts, referral commission) accumulate in your creator dashboard balance and unlock when open beta ends — target 2026 Q2. The pause is operational. TON tips and TON donations are wallet-to-wallet — they go to your TON wallet immediately, no withdrawal step.
Is the referral commission per-user or per-transaction?
Per-transaction across all referred users' Stars-rail spending. If you have 10 referred users and they collectively spend 5000 Stars / month on Wall, your T1 (10%) commission is computed on that 5000 ★ — see the math block.
