Wall Feed (Discover & Following)
also: Wall feed, For You feed, Discover feed, Following feed
Wall's feed is two surfaces with one rule. Discover (?feed=discover) draws from the global pool of authors you don't follow and ranks them with a per-viewer interest vector plus engagement signals, with spam and scam content filtered out. Following (?feed=following) shows only authors you follow — the first page is engagement-weighted so you see the best recent posts first, and subsequent pages are chronological.
The guiding principle is "rank, don't filter." The engine only changes the order of posts; it never silently drops a post from someone you follow. Hard removals (hidden, blocked, expired, deleted) are separate visibility rules, not feed ranking — so the Following feed will not quietly hide content the way some algorithmic timelines do.
The home "For You" surface interleaves several sources — Discover, Trending, and Branch posts — so a single scroll mixes fresh discovery with topical and trending content rather than locking you into one pool.

Common questions
What is the difference between Discover and Following on Wall?
Discover shows interest-matched posts from people you do not follow (global pool); Following shows only authors you follow, with the first page engagement-weighted and later pages chronological.
Does Wall hide posts from people I follow?
No. The Following feed is ranked, not filtered — ranking only reorders posts. Hard removals (hidden, blocked, expired, deleted) are separate visibility rules, so you do not silently lose a followed author's posts.
How does Discover decide what to show me?
A per-viewer interest vector built from your engagement, combined with engagement signals on candidate posts, and with spam/scam content filtered out before ranking.
Is there a single "For You" feed?
The home surface is a "For You" mix that interleaves Discover, Trending, and Branch posts, rather than a single pool — so one scroll blends discovery, trending, and topical content.
