TON (The Open Network)
also: TON blockchain, The Open Network, TON network
The Open Network (TON) is a layer-1 blockchain that Wall uses for all on-chain features. TON has the closest cultural and technical affinity to Telegram of any blockchain — Tonkeeper and MyTonWallet make wallet onboarding friction-minimal for Telegram-native users, low gas costs (~0.005-0.05 TON per tx) make micro-payments economically viable, and the transparent on-chain model means transactions are independently auditable on tonviewer.com / tonscan.org.
Wall integrates TON via TON Connect (the standard non-custodial wallet protocol). Three Wall features depend on TON: TON tips (wallet-to-wallet, 0% Wall fee), TON post donations (0% fee), and Chain Posts (1+ TON anchored on-chain via a payment to Wall's wallet UQA2Q0Vv81NObzw0d6jK6v9nnmc-cAzSI8kWN27Sl9n92SZp).
TON is independent from Telegram — TON Foundation operates the network, not Telegram FZ-LLC. Wall is also independent from both.

Common questions
Is TON the same as Telegram?
No. TON (The Open Network) is a layer-1 blockchain operated by TON Foundation, independent from Telegram FZ-LLC. The two have technical affinity (Tonkeeper / MyTonWallet integrate easily with Telegram clients) but no corporate affiliation.
Why does Wall use TON and not Ethereum / Solana?
Distribution and gas economics. TON wallet onboarding is friction-minimal for Telegram users (a large fraction already have Tonkeeper or MyTonWallet); gas is low enough for micro-payments; TON is the affinity chain for Telegram-native crypto culture. Ethereum gas would make small TON tips uneconomic; Solana doesn't have the Telegram cultural overlap.
Where can I see TON transactions Wall has done?
Public block explorers: tonviewer.com or tonscan.org. Look up Wall's wallet (UQA2Q0Vv81NObzw0d6jK6v9nnmc-cAzSI8kWN27Sl9n92SZp) for Chain Post anchor transactions; user-to-user TON tips and donations are wallet-to-wallet so they don't pass through Wall's wallet (verifiable on the user's wallet address).
